The Hungarian government announced that live poker is more tied than ever in this country where the new bill represents a sense of anger at the Federation of Hungarian Poker, which makes live poker with the impossibility of making profits.
The law has very carefully analyzed all starting from the number of tables in tournaments, until prizepool without forgetting the buy-in and the number of players per table.
Among the changes, at first we find the obligation of clubs that will pay back 40% of their profits to the state, then clubs will with 5 to 10 tables of games with a maximum of 10 players per table. Then will come a change in the cash game, where the maximum buy-in will be fixed at € 400 and not exceeding more than € 200 for the tournament and finally, at least 85% of prize pool will be distributed at tournaments.
This new law will surely be determined for the month of May, but this would be a great pity that the latter law is valid because it will put an end to major poker events in Hungary! The bill announced by the Hungarian government is to strictly supervised opportunities to play live poker in the country, giving way to many restrictions as the number of tables, buy-in, number of players … but the effects are such that this may greatly facilitate the online poker.
Certainly the Hungarian poker is rising on this legislation that describes a complete inability to move a virtual poker club.
