The figures were revealed by the large public group Partouche, managing a large part of the casino world on French territory. The turnover amounted to almost 116 million euros for the first quarter of this year 2010. Compared to 2009, we note a decrease of 0.8%.
It is true that the turnover seems favorable for the Partouche group, but not their opinion. They observed a significant decrease in attendance of their casinos after many laws such as banning smoking in public places or a listing of people called “additive” to gambling.
From a national perspective, the crude product has a fall of 7.5% during this year. One of the groups most affected and that of Partouche, who noted a decrease of 17% of its gross product. A fall that has implications for the casinos group.
However, data is important to consider because Partouche has collected 75% of the largest casino in Nice: Palais de la Mediterranee. This beautiful unit was exchanged against 25% and the Palace Hotel on the Mediterranean. If we do not know this information into account, the decline in gross proceeds in France for gambling plunges 3%, that is to say 10%.
However, the Partouche Group has developed software on the web and for mobile phones. The turnover for this new element has doubled in a few months (November 2009-January 2010). This area is growing and will surely become the product trend in the coming years. Casinos will have to find land structures to the height to compete with all these new interfaces for practice players.
